Limited Permits Available For Raspberry Island Cow Elk Hunt

ADF&G Announces Number of Permits Available for Raspberry Island Cow Elk Hunt RE706
(Kodiak) – The Roosevelt elk population on Raspberry Island is currently within the management objective of 150-200 elk based on the results of minimum count abundance surveys completed in July of 2024. To prevent over harvest and maintain the population within the management objective, the department has limited the number of permits available for registration cow elk hunt RE706.
Registration cow elk permits for Raspberry Island in Unit 8 (RE706) will be available online only at www.hunt.alaska.gov, starting at 8:00 a.m. (AKST) on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, to the first 25 hunters that register. Permits will not be available in person at the Kodiak ADF&G office. The permit is open to any eligible Alaska resident hunter and is non-transferable.
