
Naknek River Three-Fish Daily Limit For Kings; No Bait On Nushagak
The following is courtesy of the Alaska Department of Fish and Wildlife:
(Dillingham) – The following sport fishing regulation changes adopted at the 2026 Bristol Bay Alaska Board of Fisheries meeting are now in effect:
- Naknek River Drainage: For king salmon 20 inches or longer there is a limit of 3 per day, 3 in possession, only 1 of which may be 28 inches or longer. Additionally, there is an annual limit of 5 king salmon 20 inches or longer from the entire drainage, only 2 of which may be 28 inches or longer; and all harvested king salmon 20 inches or longer must be recorded in ink on a valid sport fishing license, a harvest record card, or in the ADF&G Mobile App. For king salmon less than 20 inches, there is a limit of 10 per day, 10 in possession and no annual limit.
- Nushagak River Drainage: the use of bait and multiple hooks is prohibited between May 1 and July 31.
