Ketchikan Creek Opening For Sport Fishing On June 1

Ketchikan Creek Opens to Sport Fishing
(Ketchikan) – Ketchikan Creek will be open to sport fishing for all species, including king salmon, beginning 12:01 a.m. June 1 through 11:59 p.m. December 31, 2024. The bag and possession limit for king salmon in Ketchikan Creek is two king salmon of any size. King salmon harvested in Ketchikan Creek do not count towards the nonresident annual limit.
The bag and possession limit for salmon, other than king salmon, that are 16 inches or greater in length is two fish in combination. The bag and possession limit for salmon, other than king salmon, under 16 inches in length is 10 fish in combination. Fishing gear permitted in Ketchikan Creek is unbaited, single-hook, artificial lures only.
The Deer Mountain Hatchery will not be collecting broodstock from Ketchikan Creek this year. Therefore, there will be excess king salmon in Ketchikan Creek available for harvest.
