The new tournament area by the Homer Deep Water Dock received many positive comments. This large open space allowed for anglers and spectators to spread themselves out more and enjoy the beautiful outdoor setting at the Homer Harbor. This year Sea Tow Southcentral Alaska provided two official tournament boats keeping an eye on the anglers to make sure they were operating safely and adhering to tournament rules.
Many local businesses and volunteers helped make this record setting event happen. A very special thanks to Presenting Sponsors Ulmer’s Drug and Hardware and Weigh In Sponsor UPS Store, plus Event Sponsors Homer Port & Harbor, Kachemak Gear Shed, Muslow & Agnew Group, LLC, RAVN Alaska, Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s.
We hope to see these anglers again at the Homer Halibut Tournament on June 4th-5th also hosted by the Homer Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center. More information on that event can be found at HomerHalibutTournament.com
