Undersubscribed Brown Bear Drawing Permit Available For Game Management Unit 4

Hunt: DB088 – Spring 2027

Brown bear draw hunt DB088 in Unit 4 was undersubscribed during the drawing process. There are two permits available.

This hunt is limited to nonresident hunters guided by a resident relative within the second-degree of kindred. Permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Undersubscribed Hunt Application (attached below) can be submitted via fax [(907) 747-6693], email (christopher.watt@alaska.gov or stephen.bethune@alaska.gov), or in-person to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game office in Sitka.

DB088 – Season dates: March 15, 2027 – May 31, 2027

The brown bear bag limit in Unit 4 is one bear every four regulatory years. Nonresident hunters applying for DB088 may NOT use an Alaska-licensed guide.
