Prices go up after December 1 for the Alaska Young Fishermen’s Summit in Juneau

The Alaska Young Fishermen’s Summit is a three-day, high energy training and networking opportunity for young Alaska commercial fishermen who are learning the ropes of their businesses, including:

• managing the financial aspects of a successful fishing business
• participation in the fisheries regulatory process
• the role of Alaska seafood in the world marketplace
• the science and management of our sustainable fisheries

Come learn from industry experts and peers.

The early-bird registration fee is $225 and includes entry to a welcome reception with other AYFS participants and an evening reception with invited guests. Active Alaska commercial fishermen receive a $100 registration discount through support from Alaska Sea Grant and AYFS sponsors. Registration for all attendees increases by $50 after December 1.

Special opportunity for AYFS participants

The Alaska Marine Safety Education Association will offer a Fishing Vessel Drill Conductor class in conjunction with AYFS. The course will be available at no cost to commercial fishermen participating in the summit.
