Dall Sheep Working Group Meeting Set For June 25 In Anchorage

Notice of Public Meeting of the Board of Game: Unit 19C Dall Sheep Working Group

The Unit 19C Dall Sheep Working Group will meet Tuesday, June 25, and Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in Anchorage at William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery located at 941 N. Reeve Blvd, Anchorage, AK 99501. Both meeting days will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The working group was established by a committee of the Board of Game for the purpose of developing a management plan for Dall Sheep in Game Management Unit 19C. The purpose of this facilitated meeting is a discussion about key issues and solutions concerning the management of Unit 19C Dall Sheep.

The working group is soliciting written comments which can be submitted online at: https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=gameboard.main or via fax to 907-465-6094.  The deadline for submitting comments is Thursday, June 20, 2024. 

Additionally, in-person and remote testimony will be heard on Tuesday, June 25, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Anyone wanting to provide testimony to the working group is asked to sign up in advance of the meeting online at: https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=gameboard.main or by contacting ADF&G Boards Support Section at 907-465-6098. The deadline to sign up to testify is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20.  Instructions for remote testimony testifiers will be provided following the June 20th sign up deadline. Testifiers will be limited to five minutes and will continue until everyone who has signed up by the deadline is present when called, has been given the opportunity to be heard.
