Alaska Board Of Game To Hold Nov. 2 Public Comment Meeting

A committee of the Alaska Board of Game (board) will convene a meeting on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. via web-conference. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss processes for conducting regulatory board meetings virtually, in the event the COVID-19 pandemic prevents in person regulatory meetings from safely occurring during the 2021/2022 meeting cycle. A focus area for the committee will be the public testimony and comment process. 

The meeting is open to the public, via liveRe video stream available on the Board of Game website at The committee is seeking written and oral comment from the public about virtual board meetings, especially the public participation process. Anyone wishing to testify must register no later than Friday, October 29, 2021 at, or by contacting ADF&G Boards Support at (907) 465-6098.  ADF&G Boards Support will provide testifiers the weblink or phone number prior to the meeting, and will post a testimony list on the committee meeting website provided below. Testimony will be limited to 5 minutes per person.

The committee was established during the March 19, 2021 Board of Game meeting. Committee members are Al Barrette (chair), Lynn Keogh, and Jerry Burnett. The committee will prepare a recommendation for preferred, virtual board meeting processes.
