Alaska Air Makes Delivery Of Copper River Salmon, Which Will Feed Seattle Medical Workers
King 5 TV in Seattle was on hand at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport when the delayed by a day delivery of the first Copper River salmon was made on Friday morning – with a masked pilot emerging from the Alaska Airlines jet. As is the tradition, Seattle chefs will prepare the new salmon, with a special group of diners getting to taste the catch. Here’s KING with more:
Thousands of pounds of salmon arrived via Alaska Air Cargo from Cordova, Alaska, at Sea-Tac Airport Friday morning.
Then, on Saturday, Seattle Chef Tom Douglas will cook donated salmon to prepare more than 200 dishes for Swedish Hospital medical professionals working on the frontline of the pandemic.
