(Juneau) – The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Sport Fish announced that the Macaulay Hatchery king salmon closure will be rescinded July 11. The hatchery now has enough king salmon up the fish ladder to meet broodstock needs for 2023 and conservation measures are no longer needed.

  • The daily bag and possession limit is four king salmon of any size;
  • King salmon harvested by nonresidents in the designated saltwater hatchery sport harvest area do not count toward their annual limit.
