Actor Mark Harmon Back In Alaska – This Time As NCIS Special Agent Gibbs
Actor Mark Harmon is among those who have joined the fight to protect Bristol Bay’s salmon runs. He appeared in Mark Titus’s great film The Wild. As our July cover shows, Harmon and Titus got in some Bristol Bay fishing together.
And now Harmon is returning to Alaska… in his now iconic role as special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the hit CBS series NCIS.
Titus, without giving away any spoilers, let his followers know that Harmon was back shooting in the Last Frontier. Titus assisted the show as a consulting producer for the Alaska-centric episode:
I’ve been sworn to secrecy about plotline and I will have more details in a follow-up letter to you on Monday – but what I can tell you right now is this:
- I joined Mark Harmon last month in Bristol Bay as a consulting producer on NCIS for a very special episode of the world’s number 1 watched TV drama.
- This has a lot to do with why I’ve been up in Bristol Bay so much this summer – but not all…
- I may or may not have a small appearance on-screen as “The Bush Pilot” that I received a ton of good-natured and well-deserved shit from the rest of the crew for.
- If you’re not caught up with NCIS and the storyline surrounding the fictional but very familiar, “Naktok Bay” in Southwest Alaska, you should be.
