A Fair Is An Inevitable Smörgåsbord

As a child, one of mine and my sisters’ favorite movie was Charlotte’s Web.

And for me, the best scene is Templeton the rat (voiced by Paul Lynde) singing “A fair Is An inevitable smörgåsbord, ooorgasboard.” Templeton takes full advantage of the abandoned fair’s bounty of left-behind food to scavenge for.

I was reminded of Templeton’s feast of half-eaten apples and other delicacies he scarfed on after checking out this video of bears gorging on leftovers at the Alaska State Fair. Bon Appétit, bruins!
