Moose Charge Kills Man In Homer; Investigation Ongoing

Crazy and tragic story coming out of Homer, as Alaska’s News Source reports. A cow moose attack killed a Homer man. Details are still sketchy, but here’s the Alaska State Troopers dispatch on the ongoing investigation:

On May 19, 2024, at 11:52 AM, Alaska State Troopers received a report of an adult male who was attacked by a cow moose in Homer. The cow moose charged two men, kicking one of them. Medics arrived on the scene and declared the victim deceased. Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Anchor Point responded to the scene. The cow moose has since left the area. The investigation is ongoing.
