Game Management Unit 2 Wolf Management Public Outreach Event
(Ketchikan) – The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), Division of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) will modify the Game Management Unit (GMU) 2 wolf management plan in 2024. Our goal is to update the 2019 plan based on recent research and our experience implementing the 2019 plan. As a part of this update, DWC will hold two professionally facilitated public outreach events to discuss current management and research. The first event was held May 24 and the upcoming event will be held June 14th. Everyone is encouraged to participate in person or via Zoom.
The event will be held Friday, June 14th at 6:00pm at Generations Southeast Community Learning Center (formerly the Vocational and Technical Education Center) in Klawock. DWC staff will present a draft updated management plan and then open the floor for discussion and comments. This meeting will be professionally facilitated and streamed via Zoom. Hard copies of the draft plan will be provided during the meeting.
