With this afternoon’s weigh-in at Lake Martin near Alexander City, Alabama, the newly assembled Quicksilver “QCrew” Water Team will launch into the 2018 Bassmaster Elite Series tournament-fishing season with the highest degree of confidence in the performance of their boats and engines.

This year, new members Mark Daniels, Jr. and Dustin Connell join Quicksilver pros Jacob Powroznik and Stetson Blaylock to round out the four-man team. The team members agree that lubricants and additives from Quicksilver Marine Parts & Accessories will help their boats and engines stand up to the rigors of competitive tournament fishing.

“Every day we fish out here on the Elites we push our gear to the absolute maximum,” said Powroznik, a four-time B.A.S.S. event winner and third-year QCrew member. “Fuel economy, the performance of our motors, protection against wear-and-tear — every bit contributes to our doing our jobs, and I can’t imagine running a full, eleven-event season without Quicksilver products in my boat and motor.”

Blaylock, a second-year Elite pro and winner of several FLW events, begins his second year as part of the QCrew.“Your engine is one of the most important parts of your success on the water, and having reliable oil, parts and accessories is crucial to keeping your engine performing at its best,” said Blaylock.

Daniels, Connell new additions to QCrew

Alabama natives Daniels and Connell are first-year QCrew Water Team members. Both are second-year Elite Series pros coming off highly successful rookie seasons. Connell claimed the 2017 Rookie of the Year honors and won the Ross Barnett event. Daniels, a four-year FLW Tour pro before qualifying for the Elite Series, earned two Top 10 finishes and finished in the top 20 in Angler of the Year standings in 2017.

“Maintenance is one of the most important elements in professional bass fishing, and Quicksilver makes the best lubricants on the market,” Daniels said. “From my fishing reels to my truck and outboard engine, they have me covered.”

“Quicksilver products give me the confidence I need in running my motor at its top performance,” Connell said. “They offer every product to keep my outboard running smoothly and reliably.”

“Quicksilver has expanded the QCrew because of the outstanding fan support, professionalism of the anglers and the overall coverage of Bassmaster Elite events,” said Eric Reilley, Quicksilver Products marketing manager, aftermarket products. “Obviously, the excitement of the tournaments captures fans’ attention, and Quicksilver wants all marine enthusiasts to be aware of our commitment to performance, protection and the peace of mind of our customers.”
