Looking for an inflatable boat or a kayak this holiday season? Or perhaps you need a new motor or some boat accessories?
Well, you just may find what you’re looking for – and for a steal! – at the Ballard Inflatable Boats auction on Saturday, December 2.
Conducted by the James G. Murphy Company, the Ballard Inflatable Boats auction will be held in conjunction with a heavy equipment auction, featuring trucks, vehicles, construction equipment and other machinery.
The heavy equipment auction features at least one item of note for our fishy friends: a 21’ 2015 Thunder Jet Luxor aluminum boat.
The auction will take place both on-site at the company’s 6-acre headquarters in Kenmore, Washington, as well as online at murphyauction.com.
A preview will be held Friday, December 1, so interested buyers can come check out the inventory and ask questions before the auction goes live on Saturday.
“There is a lot of inventory and everything must go,” said Mike Smith with Murphy Co. “And there are no minimums and no reserves, so it could go for a buck, or it could go for a million.”
The auction will feature around 100 inflatable boats, 50 kayaks, 40 unused outboard motors (some still in the box), seats, consoles, cables and other accessories.
Said Smith, “Anything you can screw or glue to a boat, we’ve got it.”
And don’t worry, if you can’t make it to Kenmore, you can bid online with MurphyLIVE!, a live online bidding system. All you need to do is register at murphyauction.com and download the necessary software. According to Smith, people from all over the country go online to bid during these popular heavy equipment auctions. Absentee bids are also accepted.
